Jonathon Triest - Ludlow Ventures, Managing Partner

Jonathon Triest is currently the Managing Partner for Ludlow Ventures. In 2011, Jonathon was awarded the Crain’s Detroit Business award for 20 in their 20’s. That same year, he co-founded Funded by Night, a vehicle to help internet startups launch and get discovered. Previously, Triest served as creative director for New York’s Discovery Productions. In 2005 he launched the Atlanta-based Triest Group, a mid-level advertising firm. In addition to his role at Ludlow, Triest is a mentor at The Brandery and a board member of The Trico Foundation, and Venture for America. previously creative director for New Yorks Discovery Productions. In 2005 he launched Triest Group, a mid-level advertising firm. Jonathon sits on the Board of the Trico Foundation, and the Board of Investors for Venture for America. He is currently Managing Partner of Ludlow Ventures.

Taylor Valentine - Horizon Media, Chief Invention Officer

As the industry’s first Chief Invention Officer, Taylor drives invention into every corner of Horizon Media, nurturing a forward thinking mindset and igniting revolutionary value creation throughout the agency. Taylor makes it possible for invention to live on past the ideation phase, empowering great ideas to become realities – for both our clients and employees.

Taylor leads the award-winning INVENT@Horizon team, a group whose purpose is to pioneer new products, launch new offerings, formulate better ways to solve problems, inspire and recruit top talent, and scour the marketplace for emerging opportunities. Taylor ensures that all invention initiatives deliver quantifiable value for Horizon Media, its employees, and its clients in the forms of revenue, operational efficiency and/or marketplace differentiation.

Prior to his role as Chief Invention Officer, Valentine was SVP of Social Media Strategy, having conceived, built and led Horizon Media’s social media practice since 2008. Prior to digital marketing, Taylor worked in the management consulting industry. There, he partnered with client teams to increase process efficiencies and improve workforce effectiveness all while ensuring the quality of their final product. Clients included Bayer, Solutia, Akzo Nobel, Hercules, Novell, United Water and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.

Boston born and bred, but now living in Park Slope, Brooklyn, Taylor has developed a passion for Prospect Park and half-marathons – where he cheers for his wife and discovers new playgrounds with his gregarious and energetic young daughter.

Venerable

Mike Venerable - CincyTech, President

Mike Venerable is the Managing Director of Digital Investments at CincyTech. He evaluates investment opportunities, advises startup companies and helps them prepare to receive venture capital. Venerable has more than 20 years of experience as a software industry entrepreneur and executive. He was co-founder and CEO of Talus, a leading data warehouse consultancy, from 1993-1998. Talus was then acquired by Sagent Technology, where he led the company’s services organization through the company’s successful IPO in 1999. Prior to joining CincyTech he was a managing director of Scius Capital, a NY-based boutique investment bank focused on early-stage capitalization and liquidity strategies for intellectual-property owners in biosciences, information technology and industrial technology. At Scius he assisted in raising capital for companies in the life sciences, software and advanced manufacturing markets.

Adam Weber - Dollar Shave Club, Chief Marketing Officer

Adam is the Vice President of Consumer Marketing at Dollar Shave Club, the membership based e-commerce start up that delivers high quality shaving products for a few bucks a month. In this role, he is leading all marketing efforts behind the company’s rapid subscription growth – including direct, subscriber, and content marketing. Prior to Dollar Shave Club, Adam was the Marketing Director for Gilt Groupe’s Women’s division building marketing strategies and plans across paid media, search, CRM, social media, and partner marketing with some of Gilt’s top luxury fashion & beauty brands. For 6+ years prior, he was in Brand Management within P&G’s Beauty & Grooming division, where he enabled break though innovation in digital, entertainment marketing, & e-commerce. His most recent Brand Manager role was leading the P&G’s acquisition & rapid expansion of the prestige grooming brand & retailer, The Art of Shaving.
